Question about the Nav and DVD playback
I have a 2009 335i with 2014 Nav maps. 2 questions regarding the nav and dvd playback.
1. Can I just drop a AVI file or another video format onto a DVD and expect my car to play it or do I have to create a DVD video disc (the kind that dvd players play)? 2. I have the most up to date nav map. I have seen some forum members able to see 3D or buildings (in Manhattan) with their Nav. How come I cannot? Thanks in advance! |

When in your Nav (map showing), use the Option button and go into the settings. You will find an option to display 3D in perspective mode, or something to that effect. Also, yes, you will need to make sure you change your map display to Perspective.
You will start seeing 3D buildings/structures (depending on your area) when you are at 800FT or lower. Your DVD player will only play standard DVD video, so yes, you will need to format/convert/create a DVD disc.
