H&R/Eibach 40mm lowering

Hello!

I'm planning to buy the Eibach Sportline-Kit that lowers 40mm front and 30mm rear.

My question is.. Have anyone lowered their car 40mm or more with only springs? How does the original shock hold up? Does they easly bottom out?

with any springs, your stock shocks wont be up to par. so i would recommend getting shocks. there is a group buy right now for bilstein b8 sport shocks and h&r sport springs.

do it right the first time and you wont be disappointed!

^^This!

Get in on the B8 Bilstein group buy. It's the cheapest you'll find for such a good shock/strut combo.

This. Changing the springs without changing the dampers is ghetto. You're just going to end up doing the job all over again...might as well do the work or pay for the labor only once.

I know I should buy dampers too. The plan is to buy Bilstein or KW eventually. But the thing is that I have a set of Eibach springs discount on hand and can not afford a full set of shocks and springs now. Would love to hear what those who have installed H & R or Eibach springs with their original dampers, think about it.

Many of us are running H&R or Eibach's on OEM dampers now. That's the reason why we're opting for Bilsteins.
