Your profile says you have the MSport. Do you mean the M Performance Suspension?

They aren't compatible as far as I know.

Although I'd love for someone to correct me as It would certainly make a lot of X-Drivers happy to be able to get shocks for their lowering springs right now

Anybody try this? I was thinking they might be because the bc coilovers are good for both the xdrive and regular. Anybody? Anybody?

Tditty,

I think H&R's X-Drive lowering springs are now available for your car.

yes it can be done. Suspension components are identical. I have a X-Drive running RWD coilovers fits fine.

That's good to know for all of the X-Drive owners.

So what would be the negatives of doing something line this. I know that the xdrive is 200lbs heavier. Over time that would wear out the shocks quicker. Anything else??

More that the specific spring rates aren't ideally suited to the mass and balance of the car. In turn, the shocks won't be ideally suited to the spring rates nor the mass of the car which could create a less than spectacular driving experience.

200lbs would make a negligible difference in wear times.

For the record BC Racing provides stiffER springs up front in comparason to RWD on their coilovers to account for this

Understood, but Spring rate is just one part of a complex equation.

Do you think that the shocks and struts will be able to be even put on the xi?
