Transmission oil..this okay?

Castrol Import Multi-vehicle trans fluid. I've seen people on this forum use it and had decent results. you think ill be okay with it? my car has 90k miles auto. seems cheap and decent! thanks!

Is that the recommended fluid for your car? the '06 325i has a ZF trans, and you need to use the specific fluid that is made for that transmission.

Did you find someone to do it or are you going to DIY?

Also to answer if you have ZF then use their fluid, GM use the castrol probably

I found someone to do it but it's $275 in labor

You should be ok doing a drain and fill (not a flush.) All a drain and fill does is drain out the old fluid from the transmission pan, and replace it with fresh fluid. How can that be bad? Also change the transmission pan. The filter is built into it, and after 90K you would want a new filter.

Yeah I found the pan OEM already and pretty sure I'm going to be changing the sleeve as well. Now I might get this transmission oil to save a few bucks as long as it's safe

I just used Castrol Transmax Import Multi Vehicle last week. I used around 7 quarts. So far there is no problem. The shift is really smooth.

I assume you have already done this. It takes 7 but you will probably only get 6 in because some stays in the torque converter. I did mine at about 90k and used ZF fluid, it costs a small fortune so as I approach the next change I have been looking at the Castrol product also. They show compatibility in their official literature so I am thinking it will be fine. I can't imagine they would list it as compatible unless they had evidence.
