Motion Control Coilover - F30 Project
I have finally decided on a set of coilovers for my F30 328i: Motion Control Suspension, http://www.motioncontrolsuspension.com. These guys left Moton to start MCS. Based on their reputation, I am hoping their product and customer support will be excellent. I will also be working directly with Doug and Zack Hillmann at VFC Engineering in Chicago, http://vfc-engineering.com, as the distributor and installer/fine tuner for this system.
We are still in the initial planning stages, which includes deciding on camber plates and springs. Given the Chicago winters, we do not plan to do the install until February or March. Thus, I won't be posting much by way of update until then. However, I thought I would give everyone a little teaser on this project. The plan is to run the car in NASA TTD. Last year, I ran the stock suspension, no software, a Stop Tech BBK and r comp tires. As you may imagine, the tires and brakes overwhelmed the suspension in many instances. I expect the MCS coilovers will provide a significant improvement.

Still waiting on a camber plate that will work with these and make little if any noise.

Also, a few guys have been happily running K-Mac plates with stock dampers; maybe they have something for coil overs too (?) Too bad Vorshlag hasn't come up with anything yet...
