JB4 Stage 2 Install - Raleigh, NC

Has anyone in the Raleigh, NC area installed thier JB4 Stage 2 themselves?

Interested in helping someone local upgrade thier 335?

Just looking for a helping hand to share some wisdom from when they upgraded.

Cheers!

Don't know if you still need help with this, but I recently moved down from NJ and have installed several of them and would be happy to help! I'm right over in Brier Creek, let me know

Guys…I would love some help. Work has been extremely busy…and I've been doing some traveling so not much extra time to play in the garage.

I plan to install the JB4 and BMS Cold Air Intake on either Monday the 23rd, or Thursday (26th) or Friday (27th). If either of you want to lend a hand, it would be appreciated! I'll have beer and pizza.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined, having replaced suspension systems, brake systems, steering racks, done timing belts, water pumps, etc.

Plus, having another set of hands is never a bad thing!

Cheers!

If I were going to be in town then, I'd come over just to eat pizza and drink beer … and offer some less than useful commentary.

Hey don't forget about me.

BTW OP, I installed mine a week ago. Depending on mileage on your plugs, go ahead and order them. Both scout and I had Christmas tree lights on the shakedown run before we changed the plugs.

I'm not available Friday the 27th, but if you haven't squared it away by the following week, I'll be around and can help. Did you get the DP Fix too because I did that on mine.

I did my JB4 myself with the instruction manual and a youtube video. It was fairly straight forward and I only needed a few tools to get the cowl off and the harness released.

Thanks for the insight. Bosch ZR5TPP33? I've got 65K miles on mine….probably due regardless.

No I used Bosch ZGR 6 STE2 for my 07. May have superceded, but the number I posted is on the box in front of me.

looking at my calendar, I'm going to try to do my install on Monday the 23rd. I also picked up an ER charge pipe and plan to do my plugs as well...going with the NGK 5992 plugs. Lots of toys to install!

I started to go with the NGKs, but I read a few reviews of rough idle, etc., and don't have time for that. It runs great with the Bosch, and they come pre-gapped.
