Dashboard glowed up like an Xmas tree

Evening,

Well it's been a fun drive today, driving back from Manchester this afternoon and I'm greeted with the dash glowing up with all sorts of warnings including abs, brakes, traction control for about 5 seconds and then it all returned to normal... We'll apart from my CD player which got stuck "loading disc"

Anyway I get home and turn the engine off and I'm greeted with a battery low warning and everything shuts down.

Could the earlier issue be related to my battery now longer taking a full or minimum charge and the car threw a fit?

Change your battery...happened to me when my battery was about to go. My battery was 6 years old

I'm going to have a look at the age of my battery tomorrow. If it's old then I suppose it's due anyway. However, if the previous owner has fitted a new one to mask a problem then I have a headache on my hands

Do these batteries have to be registered to the car?

This is typical of an almost dead battery. It is also the season for battery death with first cold. It needs to be registered, yes.
