meth kit recommendations and diy?

Hello,

Now that terry has stopped making meth kit for the 335d. I have to look elsewhere and instructions for installation. Anyone have any recommendations and perhaps a diy?

Really only using meth kit to prevent carbon build up in addition to cooler egt.

I've reached out to Snow Performance to see if they may want to release a kit specific to our engine. Otherwise, i think I'll be ordering the universal mpg-max kit. Most of the truck guys I know are running this, thus I'll have an easy knowledge base to pull off of if I run into any issues. Piecing a kit together would be a heck of a lot cheaper (and not too hard), though.

Any diy or tips? Also where do i hook up the vacuum hose and boost line?

I may be doing this 2014Q1. I'll document the install if I do. Hopefully someone does it before hen, though. My plan is to order the Snow's mpg max kit for the TDI, add an EGT probe (and compression fitting) and have them replace the nozzles with a 175-200ml nozzle for mpg with a 400 or 500ml nozzle for when the power solenoid opens up. I have some other things I want to do before then, though, so we'll see. I think I need to look at my vacuum lines, etc. and walnut blast the intake first...maybe catchcan...I'm feeling like I need some garage time :/

If you call Snow, they'll set up the kit like this for you.

EDIT: if you want the above, call and ask for Brad, tell him you want the same kit that mike and he talked about for my wife to buy me for Xmas

. Please note that the nozzle sizes were based on post-tune/JBD horsepower. Also, the EGT probe is not mandatory (but not a bad idea either).

Another option is to use their universal boost cooler kit (as PR mentioned) which is cheaper, but I wanted a better controller.

Ok amigos Lenny and I spoke about this meth kit , he advised me to go LPG which was much better than Meth and way better than Nitro. Lenny and i will try come up soemthing in the nearby future on this put up info once we establish it on my car so for the next year MANY changes for my D, exhaust and DPF rewmoval and LPG for added boost and cleaning of engine, DONT bombard me on this ok since i have yet to start when I finish the product then Lenny will answer all your questions!!
