Door stuck closed...actuator FAIL....

Hey guys, I need some help. I have a 2006 E90. My left rear door is stuck closed and locked. When I hit the unlock button, it does nothing for that door. You do hear the click in the door though. When I hit lock for all doors, that door pops the lock lever up and down repeatedly about 5 times and then stays locked. I'm almost certain it's the actuator that has failed. I've seen a few DIYs on replacing the actuator but all done with the door open. I'm not sure how I can do this with the door closed and locked, or if its even possible.
I really don't want to take it into the Stealer to get ripped!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried to pull twice on the handle from inside? I can't comment on, but I'm sure there are ways to pry the door open without causing damage.

Fuses??? i remember reading something about an issue with the central locking system blowing fuses...

Then again a manual pull from the handle INSIDE the car should ALWAYS work!! Maybe the door thinks its double locked from the inside??

Bummer. I'm curious if there's a way to lift the nipple door lock thing. I hate how it's flush with the door card.

Having said that, I found this link;

http://blog.schemingsolutions.com/?p=89

It says there are 5 fuses for the doorlocks. Maybe one of them blew as a poster above mentioned.

Thing is....if the fuse was blown, there would be no power to the door at all, right? The door still clicks and the lever does move up and down repeatedly when locking.

There is a modification for these locks, replace defect lock and you have to change the fuses too for other ones !
There is a set of locks (left and right) you can buy that are very cheap.

If you want i can look up the part number and fuses you need to change.

All original parts.....speaks for it self...
