Swoop you are truly a maverick...fly by the seat of your pants, eh...maybe tonight you can pull an inverted 3G dive and take a picture of that Russian MiG, upside-down in your e90...that would be friggin' sweet... YOU CAN BE MY WINGMAN ANYTIME.....

Don't screw around with me Maverick. You're a hell of an instinctive pilot. Maybe too good. I'd like to bust your butt but I can't. I got another problem here. I gotta send somebody from this squadron to Miramar. I gotta do something here, I still can believe it. I gotta give you your dream shot! I'm gonna send you up against the best. You two characters are going to Top Gun.

I always wondered why a loose cannon was so much worse than a regular cannon. I mean, I suppose the idea is that it can swing around or roll on its mount, but isn't a regular cannon just as dangerous? You could point it at people right?
My mom always said I shouldn't point my cannon at people. But I do anyway.

pointing the cannon...not a problem...it is the firing it that is a bit scary.
