ordered my 435i m sport on oct 14 th . 2 weeks later the salesman modified an allocated car to my specs hoping things would progress quickly. nov. 4th and production has not started. I was hoping to get my car by end of the year. looking bleak.

if your dealer modified the allocation, the production date will be delayed.

It took about 9 weeks for me to get it from order to delivery, so with the holidays your original 10/14 order date was already at risk. Let it be a New Year present to you...well worth the wait!!

OP - congrats, you are a worse speller than me and that's saying something Doubtful you get your car before new years at earliest. Will keep my eyes peeled for your car on these lovely MI roads, still haven't seen a 4 series in the wild.

Ordered mine in August, took delivery November 16. Worth the wait; makes it that much more rewarding when you get it.
BTW, I made some last minute changes the week before it went into production so at least in my case, I don't think it delayed anything. |

OP, I ordered my car a couple days after you and it's scheduled to arrive in Cali on 12/26...add a couple days here and there for ground transport/dealer prep/etc and you're looking at New Years and beyond. The wait is painfully real, but gonna be worth it |

dobut it--if you started prod yesterday, you'll be out around the 13th-ish
at port by the 16th-ish. then you have to wait for a ship to? my guess is Baltimore/Brunswick. Best case scenario is you get a ship the week of the 16th-which will put you at the U.S port around the 3-5th of Jan. Then, you have VPC--and trucking/transport time up to Michigan. IF you are lucky enough to get a ship within a day or so of getting to the port, earliest would be around the week of the 6-10th for the car to be at the dealer--this is the best case. not trying to kill your excitement, I just have done this tracking enough to know not to get hopes up..these next few weeks are the worst!..but hope it works out quick for ya! |
