I would try to find someone that has the boxes that their wheels came in and use that. If it's not possible, go to one of those UPS or packaging place, I'm sure they'll have a box that fits the wheel.

I had to do the same thing once, i just went to the ups store and bought a 24''x24'' box, the rims were 19's mounted on tires and they fit perfect i just had to trim the height of the box, just make sure the wheels fit snug in the box and be sure to padd the bottom and top with bubble wrap or foam, you dont need to worry too much about the sides if they have the tires mounted already, well good luck

This works pretty well. I've only had one problem when I ordered my winter wheels/tires from Tirerack a few years ago when one idiot from UPS wanted to see what kind of wheels are in there. Ahole, opened it up and sliced the cardboard, wheels and tires with a cutter. Then UPS tried to repackage the two wheel/tire set into one of their own boxes and lied to me, telling me that that's how Tirerack shipped them.

Sorry, back to topic... I've bought many wheels and tires combo and all of them were packaged like that without any problems, except for one. If some idiot at the shipping company wanted to open up the package, it won't matter much how it's packed.

Use strapping, or each wheel will ship as its own package (one shipment, 4 pieces).

I've only shipped a wheel/tire set once and used nylon rope to tie them together. It worked out well. The rope held them together all the way to California from Jersey.

Use lots of packing tape. One can never over-package.
