Just put in an order for a new 328i Sport Wagon M Sport last week and have been pathologically checking the status under My BMW for days.

I'm wondering if I did this right - my sales guy gave me a Production Number, and I added a vehicle using it when logged in to My BMW.

However when I added it, it told me my car was a Mineral Grey Wagon (I ordered red). I confirmed with my sales guy that I did indeed order red.

So... I was wondering, did I do this right?

What's been your experience regarding how long it took to begin production, end production, then ship it, etc.?

It takes about one week to actually build. However, the whole process is much longer. It took mine 4 and a half months from order to delivery.

Thanks for moving my post - sorry I put it in the wrong spot!

My sales guy said I should have it mid-January - but now I'm getting worried it'll take longer.

Any one else been waiting for a while?

FWIW when I ordered my 335 last April it took 2 months to the day to get. 1 month from order day to finish assembly, another month in transport.

Ordered mine on 10/15. Arrived at the dealer 12/11. Took the full 8 weeks.
