How much over invoice are people paying for a 328xi purchase these days?

I'm trying to help a friend of mine negotiate the best possible deal. Is $600 - $800 over invoice obtainable for an all wheel drive 3 series?

not really sure about 328 but i ordered my 335i for 53,750 OTD and the build had cost 53,000 itself without TTL.

I ordered a 14 335i for +50 to invoice plus 699 dealer fee, less 1500 usaa discount.

Nice. I ordered my 335i for $500 over invoice, less the $1500 USAA discount.

I paid $2000 under invoice for my 328. It's an unusual configuration and RWD in a snowy area that was ordered incorrectly for a customer and they were looking to unload it. It had exactly the options and color I wanted and I got extremely lucky.

I paid a couple hundred bucks below invoice...but I bought a 13 when there were 14's on the lot.

I ordered a 2014 328d X-drive with lots of options for $750 over invoice. This was $3200 off MSRP. The dealer helped me evaluate 328i v. 328d including a day long loaner for an extended test drive... so I decided on 750 rather than 500 which is what I would have started from. Maybe I left money on the table, who knows.

Paid 500 over European delivery invoice then took away loyalty, hurricane sandy, holiday cash and financing discounts which totaled around 3k. Thousands below USA msrp! Msport 328 estoril blue for 37.7k out the door including tax in nj.
