I was just in your shoes just a few days ago, and actually i was ready to go ahead with the M235i (even put a deposit).

They are both great cars, but for my situation the S3 made more sense. I live in Canada where at least 4 months out of the year are complete white-outs, therefore the AWD beats out RWD by a long shot. Also i'll have little munchkins running around in the next couple years, meaning that 2 doors while doable, will be a pain when it's time to put car seat, take in and out etc...

I think if wasn't for the weather, i probably would have gone for the M235i and just dealt with the kids since the wife does have a hatchback (Elantra GT).

Anyhow that was my reasoning, and while i may not be getting the sportier car, i think i'll be greatful when winter/kids come around.

Good luck with your purchase!

get the M135i, 3 door, manual.....waaaaaaaaaaay cooler than the M235.

get the S3 if you want to relax.....lol

EDIT: oh wait do you already have an M135i? or are you canceling an order for one? I'd say stick with the M135i if you already have it.

thanks guys I live in Israel so HOT weather is good for the M235I.

my wife told me that I should decide even if we have 3 kids.

my friends told me buy the M235I as the S3 boring, clear, but very fast by mining you get in the S3 but you will think BMW.

the price different is a factor.

the upgrades prices are crazy in Israel.

I did drove the S3 yesterday and it's a fun car but it's not RWD it's like a train you can't do anything its glue to the asphalt.

I know that I want the Bimmer but will be for sure disappointed if I'll take the Audi, even if it's better for my family.

Can't you get the five door M135i? Seems like the most practical compromise. I'd take a Golf R over the S3 if I knew I wouldn't hate Haldex.

I can take the M135I 5 door but I will get the car in 4 mount and after 3 mount there will be a facelift cant live with that.

The price differnce from the M135I to M135I is $16000.

Yesterday I seat with my wife for the big decision and we have decide BMW M235I but we need to put some upgrades out.

These are the upgrades:

Reverse camera

High beam sensor

Light package

Adaptive light (no its NOT in the Light package)

Black Panel Display

Rear-view mirror, auto dimming

Park Distance Control (PDC), front and rear

Cruise control

Bluetooth W/USB

Harman Kardon

But know I have to add the LSD so it's going to be pricyyyyy

That’s all what do you think?

Thanks

then why not just wait 7 months and save your $16,000? thats a lot of coin.
