New Owner of a F30 335XI M SPORT!

Hello guys im new to this forums , Placed an order for my white on red 335xi and getting it tomorrow , coming out of a g37 coupe (modded). Finally getting the car that i always wanted , my first question to everyone (saw alot of posts about it). Whats the story with the jb4 map 2, prolly thats whats going to be my first mod. My question is is there hidden codes? , does it actually make the car that much faster? can the dealer catch me?....if i missed some posts please link it id be glad to read them. Any help would be nice, also some ideas for mods. Thanks guys!

Congrats ! I too came from a modded G37 and I couldn't be happier !

Search the forums you'll find tons of info about the JB4 and all the other mods you could think of !

Post some pics when you pick her up !

Had full bolt ons and a "tune". Have the JB4 and DP on order for the 335 can't wait to get them on !

my question is , the Jb4 map2 ....i know its a plug n play ....if i have to go to the dealer and i remove it will they be able to detect that i had it in the car dont want them to void my warrenty like they almost did on my infiniti for just bolt ons

I can't speak for all dealers, but a few of my good friends have JB4s and whenever they take their cars in for minor work (oil changes, brakes, etc.) they simply put it back to map 0, which is the OEM map, and no one complains or says a word about it despite the fact that they are on coils and have bolt ons. It goes undetected apparently, but you're better off seeing what people have done locally to be sure !

So either the JB4 actually goes unnoticed or they decide to live with it. Either way, if you have a JB4 and your seat breaks within the warranty, they can't blame it on the JB4.

If your engine blows and they see the JB4 then they will void the warranty on your engine.

I had a JB4 stage installed on my 14' 335, running map 2. No other mod beside JB4, big different. I even had fun in comfort mode.

Still had it on my car, I don't think I able to drive without it.
