just ordered a 335xi Coupe!!!!!!

whats going on fellow new englanders? I'm extremely excited about this purchase!! This will be my first BMW.

2008 335xi Coupe - Space Grey / Coral Red / Aluminum
Premium / Sport / Navigation / Cold Weather / iPod

$48,000 before taxes I think I got a pretty decent deal from what I've been reading on these forums.

my lady said "it should be here early/mid december". I guess we changed an order on the very last day for that group of cars (had we waited another day i would have had to wait longer). I really hope it gets here by early december!!!

I didn't think comfort access was worth the extra $500.

I'm coming from the Subaru world; I would miss awd too much if I got the rwd coupe. Plus I'll be driving up to vermont every weekend and the awd will be necessary.

I keep calling the hotline to check on my order, it's still scheduled for production with no official date yet... ahhh this wait is gunna suck

The winter tire issue is that you won't be able to drive this car in winter with the 18" summer performance runflat tires. You won't be able to replace them with winter 18" runflats, and 18" 'all season' runflats are nearly impossible to come by. You will have no choice but to agonize over downsizing to 17's to get acceptable winter use with different tires- which means a seperate 17" winter and summer 18" wheel set, or going with non-runflat tires.

I didn't get the upgraded 18" wheels. The sports package I got still has 17" wheels with all-seasons. I plan on putting snow tires on these though and keeping them as my winter wheels

If you got the Contintal Pro-Contact's, you will find that they are fine in the winter. I have (had) the 328XI with those tires last winter and they are excellent in the snow. I know this because my driveway is very steep and I could start off half way up from a standing start with no problem in several inches of snow.

No I used to go by "Cup-a-Chow" on there... Haven't posted in a really long time though. The timing belt snapped on my S4 and I simply haven't had time to post on there.
