2007 335i reaching 30K miles....sorta newbie here

I had a few posts on here and am pretty much a newbie to the world of BMWs. I had a 85 325es coupe (had a m sport package on in appearantly) in college which I ran into the ground after getting it with 180K miles on it, got rid of it with 250+K miles.

Anyways.... Back in August I picked up my 2007 335i with Auto trans with only about 25K miles on it. Now I noticed that the Mechatronic connector sleeve is leaking and my brother is a mechanic and we will be fixing it this weekend. Now a few questions.

1) Should I reuse the Transmission fluid in there or replace it all?
2) I have never been big on the fluid changes except oil, while I am at it should I make sure I get all the 30K mile fluid changes done? or is it just something the dealer tells you to do to get more money from you.
3) I've read stuff about software upgrades, do these make a difference and I'm assuming the dealership has to do these? Do they do these for free?
4) Is there anyway to tell if the HPFP recall has been done without taking it to the dealership?
5) The oil change gauge says about 10K miles left, should I go ahead and change the oil or trust the gauge if the oil looks/smells good? If I do it myself, how do I reset the countdown?

I know these are all pretty simple and well probably stupid newbie questions but going from Camaros/TransAms and a Sentra Spec V, this is a bit more than I am used to hahaha.

Thanks! I love it... I get a lot of compliments on the wheels. I believe discount said they are 19x10 in the front and 19x11 in the rear (could be wrong since its been a while since I went. Just had to put 2 new tires on the rear since someone did bad patch jobs on the old. I went a little wider and put i either 275 285 on the rear. it's in the garage at home since I noticed the leak.

They looks like the M3 Competition Package wheels. Which Avant Garde carries the same looking wheels. It's called M359.

1) I'd put new in.
2) There are no 30K fluid changes. Brakes every 2 years, I might do a coolant change at that time, too. Probably should do entire tranny fluid at 60K, along with diff.
3)
4) Should be a sticker on the door? Search around.
5) Some people change every 5K or 7.5K, quite a few at CBS schedule. You can tell only by having an analysis done (search for Blackstone Labs.)

Thx. I love the way they look... But in person the 359s look too silver, instead of a darkish gray like the m3 wheels.

No?

From what I have found is that they are replica M3 comp wheels. Here are the real ones. They have the BMW part number stamped on the front of them.
