Yes I would say that it is the Carrera GT replacement. Afterall it's got NEARLY 900 "BLEEP" HORSEPOWER!!! Hahaha!

Halo car for sure. I'm in the 'how long will it take to develop this tech to reach high volume production models' camp. Next gen, 2 gen's from now, who knows, but I'll take my hat off to Porsche for coming up with this in response to current environmental protection challenges.

Not sure what's better, the car or the fact that it's a Chris Harris review. Reducing someone who has owned a 997 GT3 to a fit of laughter must mean it's really special.

I would say that it makes the GT look downright "old" and silly by comparison.

That was fun, thanks for posting the link. If I heard him right, the car is about 3700 pounds, and while heavy isn't too bad considering the two electric motors. Just took a quick look at building my own 918 and found I can add magnesium rims for only $32,500!

I believe all 918 are sold, and they are going for about 1.2M. Once you buy one you are priority on all Porsche models first in line as long as you have the 918.

Not sold out. And please don't say the carrera GT is silly! That is one of the 2 or 3 most epic street cars on the planet. IMO of course.

Well let's say all 918 slots are going to Porsche's best customers. All allocations are spoken for, and the next question is are they going to exceed 918 copies? All 918 owners as long as they own the 918 they will have first dibs on any Porsche of their choosing. They will sell above 1.2M.
