Front brake change
When I took in my car for service my adviser wrote a repair line asking them to check my front brakes because the iDrive suggested they need to be changed in 1k miles. They checked all 4 brake discs and said they do not need to be changed. They also recoded iDrive to say front brakes need changing in 20k miles. Overall that means the first brake change at 30k miles, is that normal?
When did you guys receive your first front brake change? Thanks in advance.

Have 15k miles on my car and iDrive says I need fronts in 3000 miles. Looking at the pads they are less than half worn off. Seems like that sensor doesn't work well.

It's a software glitch on the calculation of distance for your brakes to wear..easy software reprogram and all is well! Brakes typically go 30-40k FYI

i had a heavily tuned e90, and they refused to change them the first time i asked, but then finally changed it around 26k but they were very worn down.
they really do not want to change these brakes until 30k miles |
