Do you attract bad parkers?
Do you ever come back to your car to find that all the cars in your line are parked fine EXCEPT the car next to yours, whose driver cant seem to see the lines painted on the lot? I mean really, I suppose they are using the adjacent cars to guide their parking, and I do park way over to stop door dings, but I feel like carrying a couple of Road hazard cones and putting them on the parking lines around my car.
Now I know there are worse horror stories out there, but I am not claiming this is a worst case situation -- but it almost always happens!!! Maybe I should carry a preprinted note to put under people's windshield wipers kindly asking the to respect the lines painted on in the parking lot when they park their cars, the lines are there for a reason.

Yes in my parkade, there is a car that parks over my line. Had to put a sticky in their car to tell them to park in the lines. And also at work I have to park super super far so I don't have people dinging my doors up.

Here in Hawaii we have tiny parking spots, yet people still try to park their big-ass trucks into a "compact" spot. You have to park as well as drive defensively if you want to avoid these kind of problems if at all possible.
Maybe the Lexus driver sees the lines as merely a "suggestion" on where to park? Not a definite guide. lol

Here in UK you would only get so much space in a disabled spot. Basically, if someone next to me landed on a white line, getting in to the car will be uncomfortable.

To OP that parking is not bad because there's tons of space in between. Last week a SUV decided to park in a compact space next to my car. I could not leave even if I was a Russian contortionist. I was nice to wait 45 minutes and went to Starbucks. The funny thing is there was a really ignorant and loud girl in there. She's under 5' and 200+lbs. it turns out it was her. And I've seen a lot worse during the holidays. Car parked sideways a la drift in a crowded parking lot.

But I believe you are missing the point, the lines are their for a reason it's obnoxious when someone parks over the line and makes it difficult for you to get in and dings your car. Also when someone parks extremely close the chances of getting a door ding greatly increase. The point is, it's obnoxious when people park like d-bags. Also nothing I said sounds pompous, and if you really think it's sounds obnoxious please explain. |

I've had to climb in the window. Another time the car was so crooked that the rear quarter panel was actually behind my car. I physically couldn't leave.
