Chips on the front bumpers solution?

I have wayy too many chips on the front bumper. Going to get it repainted after winter, but wanted to know what product or protective film to use to prevent it from happening again.

I just put on the X-Pel Ultimate. I think the newest film that folks have raved about here is the Suntec, but I could't find an installer in my area that used it. If you do a search, you will find a lot of good information - or at least a lot of opinions.
