Autoglym products?
Hi Guys,
I was going to get my car foam washed & polished then waxed my Autoglym here in Asia, they said they will use Autoglym Resin Polish by hand then use HD Wax to wax the car, has anyone tried their products? any good? Thanks.. |

Never used the resin polish before but I do like the HD wax.
I think it's one of the better waxes that you can get at your retail stores such as Walmart or Target. I use this product with a porter cable orbital and it applies on smooth/thin, hazes well and removes easily with a deep shine. That alone keeps me using this product. The durability is decent at best but I usually apply a sealant as a base layer so this combo works for me. Overall, I'm happy with this product. |

When you polish your car you are essentially taking off the clear coat (very thin layer). Any type of polish will do this, just got to be careful. If you are removing the metallic you probably are removed the base layer which means you burned through the clear coat or have polished off all your clear coat. That's why detailers use a paint thickness gauge to see how much they have to work with before getting to the base layer. Hope that helps and it doesn't deter you from using polishing products.

I use autoglym interior shampoo or sonax matt dash cleaner... Actually, I'm siding back to the autoglym... it's the best interior shampoo i've used
regarding super resin polish, i'm not a fan, since it contains fillers... so it will look good the first day, the next day resins will wash off and it will look bad (worse than day 1) wax - is for protection IMO... |

That's a lethal combination and by lethal I mean the best(: the resin polish restores the color of your vehicle while the hd wax makes it last for longer and of course protects your paint. Good to hear that you went for it, i'm pretty sure you didn't regret it. Am I wrong? lol next time insted of the wax tried to use autoglym extra gloss protection. IMO works better and for a fraction of the price.

Nothing wrong with Autoglym. That's why they're one of the market leaders. If they're good enough for Aston Martin I'll definitely not worry using on my car |

AutoGlym bodywork shampoo has been successful on a swirl-free 2 bucket method on my BSM paintwork. I have been using it for years.
I will also use CarPro Reset if I need to reapply wax or coating. |
