Blower Motor...not squirrel cage VIDEO

even tho i have heard it before its not the squirrel cage sound. this is the sound it makes when i turn the air up. it get very loud and vibrates the cab of the car. can this be anything other then the blower motor? thanks fo the help |

That sounds like something is stuck or there's a wire pinched and hitting the blades of the blower. I'd pull it out and investigate. It only takes like 15 mins to get it out if that.

The fan is very easy. You do remove the glove box. There is a locking clip that you press in and then twist the entire unit. Of course that is after you remove the electrical connector.
Any chance you replaced your windshield recently? Mine sounded like that and it vibrated the whole dash after SafeLite put in a new windshield. They let a piece of the old windshield seal fall into the vent. It was hung up in the squirrel cage and when the fan was on high the out of balance condition caused noise and vibration. |

Yep sounds like something striking the blades more than a bearing to me. Before buying a new motor check the blades and see if something decided to drop in that area...

the last thing done on the car in that area was the fuse box was replaced under recall... now i have to take it it for the airbag/seat recall. ill see if they can look into that for me.
