Hey guys, I just recently had my performance exhaust removed from my 2010 328 xdrive sedan and had my stock exhaust welded back on. Ever since then, I've had this rattle, which I believe is coming from the exhaust pipes.

Also, there's I can see a slight vibration coming from the exhaust tips (i tried getting a video of this, but it doesn't vibrate enough to catch on video).

Both of these occur while at idle. Does this sound like a heat shield that's loose?

Sometimes, I can also hear a very slight (and I mean very slight) whistling noise. This occurs while at idle and on the highway while cruising.

Heat shield loose somewhere?

It's the heat shield vibrating against the exhaust. May not be loose, most likely just touching.

Heat shield would be my guess as well.

I had similar problem with my 07 335i. It was my left exhaust flap constantly rattling, my guess was the flap opening and closing got loose after time. But idk if the 328 has the flap that closes and opens. So I ditched the oem exhaust and got a VRSF exhaust and no more rattle.
