BMW Now Has Aftermarket Navi
for those of you who don't have i-drive, bmw has a nice portable navigation setup for you. looking at the dealer car that has it equipped the wire seems to go into the glovebox much like a v1 hardwire. the wire can't be seen though. pretty cool. just wanted to vent

Must your car already have the Blu-tooth option (such as in the Premium Package) to use this new BMW Nav system?

i have it installed (requires drilling) onto the dash.
Labor is marked (on the install doc's) 1hr. However, they took 3-4hrs. They took their time b/c it was their 1st, and because if they F'd the dash, they would have to replace it. The install was all $175. The part was $600. Cost to me = $0... girlfriend ROCKS. and its' also cool b/c i get to use a white e92 (looks like a e90) as the "arrow" that drives through the roads in the screen. Also, for comparison, i used it SIDE BY SIDE with the I-DRIVE, and this NUVI360, is noticeably faster... regarding calculation, reroute, searches, etc... Also, when you dont' want to have the unit exposed, it comes w/ a little clip to cover the dash mount... so when you look at it by itself, it looks like an air freshner |

Well, I think what really happened is that your GF wants to keep an eye on where you're going, so she bought you the nav so she could have one of those GPS tracking devices hidden in your car during the install (hence the 3-4 hrs.). Now she can track your every move on Google, and you're just happily cruising around with your new nav

I wanted to know if the Navi is connected to your Steering wheel button for the Bluetooth and voice command? That would be great if it was.
I currently have a Garmin and it's a great Navi |
