Wanted: E91 Diversity Amplifier

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has a working E91 Diversity Amp kicking about? or has a breakers yard nearby that might have an E91 in?

My remote central locking has failed, and needs sorted, as every time i unlock the car with the key the darn alarm goes off!

I'm thinking its the diversity module, but am having a hard time finding a replacement, been through all the breakers on ebay with tailgates listed, to no avail

Thanks!
Craig

check the wiring loom from the boot to the roof of the car. this is what happened to mine. If you remove the cover from the diversity module and its dry and looks good i bet its the wires.

Its a tricky job and takes a few hours but only costs a few quid to fix

Check if its wet first as thats what usually makes them faill. If its dry then it could be the wires above the roof lining instead.

ill check again this weekend, but when i checked previously, it looked like it had been wet, add to that the centre bolt holding the spoiler on was proper rusty, leading me to believe water ingress has taken its toll.

that being said... it failed just before xmas, and when disassembled to take a look, after i reassembled it, it started working again for a week or 2, so maybe it is the wiring?

ive been through all the folk on ebay that are either breaking E91's or have tailgates listed, its either already sold, or they wont split

Bummer. I was lucky when mine went as the breaker i found on ebay was a private individual and sold it separately.

Mine also started working again for a few days before failing for good, this could well be a sign of water damage as it breaks dows, especially if you can tell water has been in the area. Just make sure you silicone the cover back on when you replace the module to make t last, something BMW should have done in the first place.
