E90Post Inspiration

Hey guys, I'm soon to be done with my lease on my current car and Im now moving on to the part where i have to decide what is next. So in light of that I'm having difficulty in choosing between an E92 and a E90. Im single, so i have no need for the 2 extra doors, but I've owned an E90 for 3 years and i like how it looks. In contrast, i love the lines of the coupe. Secondly, my current car is LeMans Blue, and as much as i love the color, it doesn't hide scratches or dirt very well, thus I've been looking at Space Gray, Alpine white and Titanium Silver as options. The purpose of this thread is for the forum to give me some ideas and inspiration for both an E90 and an E92 in those colors. If there are other threads i should look at like favorite car threads or who has the coolest car, i would also like to know of those. Im not asking for color threads because most of those are just shots of new un-modded cars. Im interested in seeing modded cars and what people have done with them both exterior and interior to help me make my decision. Thanks a lot! and two shots of my car so i can put this in the picture threads.

LeMans blue is my favorite of the 3 blue's offered for the E9x's. I think you should stick with that car and with the right mods your car will look awesome. Alpine White is nice choice also but a lot of people have it. Good luck with your decision!

Titanium Silver hides dirt well.

Yes, however one of the other biggest problems is my current car has the N52 engine and ideally, this next car would have the N54. The power of the 328i is okay for driving to the grocery store, but I've driven 335i's and its more of what I'm looking for. Plus, the stock exhaust note is orgasmic. Thanks for your input.

Every E9X that I see on the road is either Space Gray or Black. I do love Alpine White, but blue is definitely the way to go.

I remember back when this car was bone stock! Look at you now. Your car is one of the biggest reasons why I love space gray. Everything you've done with it is just amazing. Thanks for sharing.

As much as I love it though, its hard to keep clean, and it shows scratches like no other. Not to mention my interior will change colors like a chameleon based on what clothes you wear. Oyster interior is a one and done thing. I will not buy another car with it.

I dont think Blue it too hard to maintain. All of the cars Ive owned have been blue with the exception of one, which was black - talk about showing scratches.

Grays and silvers are the easiest to maintain in terms of scratches and dirt. But grays and silvers are most common colors you see on the road. White is almost as bad as black.

And I agree with you on the interior color. My previous car (Athens Blue G35 coupe) had wheat (tan) interior... I HATED it and sucked to keep clean. I love black interior

Ideally, the car would also have a black interior, CIC iDrive, whether i have to convert it or not, and a manual transmission. Something clean like this, even though it doesn't have iDrive.

Don't get an Acura MDX with Parchment. It's a damn full time job. I gave up and stretched a tshirt over the bottom section of the seat.

Space grey! Psmitty already posted his pics, and I'm sure you've seen mashimarho's e92 too.

Right, I've washed my car once a week, every week since I've owned it. As far as looks, dear lord its got the sex appeal of a super model. However, sitting next to Creaminz in his Alpine white stage with M3 Quarters, LMs and other associated mods my car looks looks juvenile. That's mostly because of the mods, but alpine white is timeless and so clean. Those socal guys on here certainly don't choose it for no reason.

i can't recommend black sapphire metallic unless you enjoy washing and detailing more frequently than lighter paint colors...but BSM isn't in your list of choices, haha.

i'd say space gray
