M double spoke 442 wheel coating issue

Has anyone else had any issues with their 442 wheel coating? I have an 8 week old 435i xDrive with just under 1,600kms on the odometer. The car has only been washed 4 or 5 times, yet the front driver's side wheel has lost its luster and the coating has started to become pitted. All of the other wheels still look brand new. I took it to the dealership yesterday and they took photos which they will send to BMW Canada for a response. Just in case they deny it as a warranty item, it would be helpful to be able to say that others have experienced similar problems.

Just heard from my BMW dealership. Good News - they have agreed to replace the wheel under warranty. It has to be shipped from Germany and should take 2 to 3 weeks to get it in.

Not sure if these are good enough to clearly show the problem, but here goes.

I find that the coating on these rims really makes them easy to clean. However, the finish on this one just started to break down and pit for no obvious reason.
