too fast for ipass, suspended??

My niece lives in the burbs off of the tollway 90. She got a letter from the state saying her IPASS is suspended for 30 days because she was going 35mph instead of the posted 15mph when going through the ipass. So as punishment , for one month she has to manually pay tolls and pay the higher rate.

Be careful, Big brother is watching.....intersection cameras, state police planes clocking drivers and now this ipass cr@p.....

I never really passed thru at 15mph and never had a problem, but I drive the tollways infrequently. My niece who got the suspension of her ipass drives the tollway everyday. She probably had multiple "speeding" thru in some specified period of time to trigger the suspension. Thats my guess

Ummmm, IDOT has nothing to do with the tollways.

In any case, this would kinda tend to suck as I _used_ to be careful going through the tollgates (the ones at the exit ramps) but that's a recipe for being rear-ended.
