Shock absorber fluid

Hello guys,

I'm about to buy 4 shock absorbers from Tditty but I need to know if I'm allowed to bring them home in my checked bag. I know TSA does not allow to bring pressurised containers even in checked bags. Does anyone know if there is pressurised gas in stock dampeners? Or is it oil filled type?

Cheers

A friend just told me that there's both gas and oil.

Does anyone confirm this?

Why not just call the airline? I would say call TSA, but I'm guessing they don't have much in the way of 'customer' relations.
