Rev limiter question

I accidentally hit the rev limiter today in 4th gear. I felt the fuel dump. Is there anything I should be concerned about??

No worries. And that's why the limiter kicked in.

In 4th gear? That's a bit over the speed limit.

These engines can actually rev alot higher then the limiter. BMW sets the limiter and etc for a long lasting engine, that will be reliable etc. therefor at the limiter, the engine is not over stressed.

As long as the car was warmed up - I wouldn't worry.
