325 3.0 liter???
I always thought that my car (325) is only a 2.5 liter engine, and the 330 is 3.0...but they're both 3.0 liter engine according to bmwusa.com...???WTF???
Am I just stupid or what

There are other posts regarding the history of the model numbers. 325 was not always 2.5 and obviously isn't now. The 325i and 330i are the same engine, but with different induction, tuning, exhausts, etc.

Whew, and I thought this was yet another thread asking about how to mod the ecu and induction to make a 325i into a 330i...

Yes, just a bit;; about 18 1/2 percent more horsepower, to be specific.
The 330 has a different intake as well as a different intake manifold. The real added punch over the 325 is only felt after about 4500 rpms, though. |
