F31 335xd ordered. My experience

Hello everyone.

New 335xd touring on order.
Sapphire Black with black leather
Brushed aluminium trim and black gloss finisher
Pro Nav
Msport + and vis pack
Heated front and rear seats
electric seats with lumbar
Adaptive susp
folding mirrors
comfort pack
5yr service pack

Chopping and changing between HUD and no HUD, VSS and no VSS.

Moving from an e90 320d sport plus touring - love the car but underpowered.
I think the 335 will be the perfect family car and sensible running costs - I had an RS4 for 4 days and the smile soon wears off after the 3rd petrol station visit in as many days!

My buying advice (for what its worth) -

I checked 2 or 3 online broker sites and noted the best discount (£9,400 ish on a £48,500 list), used an online valuation site (whatcar, glasses, parkers) for p/e prices and then emailed 3 dealers and asked them to beat it.
There is a £500 deposit contribution for anyone who is a current BMW owner towards a 4.9% PCP plan.

A big thank you for the advice from this forum and looking forward to posting some pics in March/April when it arrives!

Paul

Looks a good spec.

My tuppence worth... Black leather in the tourer with the sun protection makes it VERY dark and gloomy. I am so glad that we ordered the Panoramic sunroof. The tourer suffers from this more than a saloon as the rear window on a saloon lets a lot more light in to the cabin than a tourer.

The HUD is great and would definitely spec again. I've forgotten that we have the VSS.. that could be seen as a good or a bad thing!

Black and black. I'm all for that.
Congrats on ordering the car.

Shit, it's 6 months since I bought my car and all I can think of is how to justify buying a 335d f31... Will wait for the LCI, I think....

On my experience of the HUD and VSS and on your outlay I would opt from them.

The HUD is particular good and gives you all the information on the screen including speed, cruise, phone, media and sat nav. I think iis brilliant and would definitely include on my next BMW.
