Pro nav with 2014-1 maps

Has anyone got pro nav with 2014-1 maps ?

If so can you check to see if you can zoom into Sheffield (under 900ft) and see any roads ? (I am prepared for remarks about there are no decent roads in Sheffield)!

It appears from reading the forum a few people have had issue with low level roads not on 2014-1 following a map update, just want to see if this is a problem with all 2014 maps or just updates

Where in Sheffield would you like me to check??? or is it the whole of Sheffield, maybe give me some addresses and i can check for you.

NOTE: Did the car come with 2014-1 or did you upgrade via the internet? i think you can downgrade the maps back to 2013-2 (just buy the DVD from the dealer)

My work journey is along the M60, M56 to airport around styal. I lose the M60 at sale water park and all roads onwards below 900yards zoom. At 900 yards, they reappear. I downloaded mine off the internet using mircotorrent. It must be a data issue. I tried downloading again. I have installed 2013-2 from the same source and that works fine so I'm leaving it at that fir now and will try again for 2015-1.

@gatsojon my trip to work is the same sort of and i have no issue: -

M58 / M6 / M62 / join the M60 all the way around until junction 1 (Stockport). Sometimes i end up on the M6 / M56 / then M60 to Stockport.

I also downloaded the maps from the Internet installed in one go from a 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive without interruption.

In terms of Sheffield it is all of it.... its a data issue somewhere. The roads are there as directions work fine but the overlay on the screen seems to have gone.. As soon as you hit Glossop towards Manchester the roads re-apear again.

Its like a particular file is missing / corrupt.

it was a upgrade (original had 2013-1) and I downloaded then downgraded to 2013-2 and all is well..

Maybe try another link and see if there is any difference next.

That's where I got the 2014-1 from so if others have and they are fine, something is very odd.

How do you downgrade with the USB stick to 2013-2

I tried the 2014-1 and have missing roads but when I put the files in for the 2013 maps it says contact your service centre as missing incomplete files

I just put the full 2013-2 image on a memory stick like the 2014 update and it cautioned me it was a downgrade and not an update.

Hit the go button and then all the missing roads around Sheffield and Manchester re-appeared...

I am awaiting 2014-2 to try ... the source of the 2014-1 said it was identical to what BMW / dealers supply.

I thought that was it david. There must be something wrong with the files I have then. When I put in usb with 2013-2 it says incomplete contact service centre and no downgrade option.

Is there any way I can get maps from you - I'm in chesterfield.

Yep that's what I did too. No problems with the 2013-2 maps since. We will need to buy another code for the 2014-2 of course and I might just leave it as is now.
