Look out! APR Tuned RS7 runs 10.69

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...=1#post9477852

10.69 @ 129.32mph! That is about as fast as my GT-R ran with FBO on 93 octane without using LC. Not bad for a 4.500lbs sedan!

Cue hateful comments from M5 owners. 4wd+tunability=win. Amazing time!

Reality is: only 91 octane is available in Cali, and many other states.

You have a distorted sense of reality:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...cross-usa.html

MOST state HAVE 93 octane readily available. That list (identifying 30 states with 93 octane) is also missing a number of states where 93 octane is easily found (DE and VA but I am sure there are others out in the Midwest and South he didn't mention).

And if an rs7 runs 91 octane- how much less hp does the car have? 20hp/30hp? Its still a very very fast tuned pig no doubt.

Didn't see anything about 93 octane in California. Didn't get through the whole thread because after the 4th pop-up ad I gave up.

Awaiting tunnel vision BMW guys deflecting to BMW better sat nav screens, prettier rear end, etc.

Winning is winning.

I still enjoy my M5 though.

Good job Audi providing a mod friendly platform.

On this side of the Forum, I think people are more broad-minded than the "tunnel vision BMW Brigade". Regardless of the make, that is one fast car!

Damn, why did they have to make the rear of that car so ugly? Everything else is win.

My thought exactly. I would probably be driving an RS6 sedan if they made one and brought it to the US.

What a rocket. Wow! Would much prefer the RS6 if they sold it here, but I'd take an RS7 over the PTS or E/CLS 63 S any day.

Long as all your driving is straight, this is your steed. Impressive times from a car I wouldn't consider.

The only thing I have to say is this.

Oh also, I saw somewhere (can't remember where) that the RS7 0-60 was like 3.2s. Ridiculous. AWD for the FTW in this case. Lol!

Honestly to me this isn't that much of a threat since I don't launch my cars. What I'm looking at is the trap speed, which is not out of tuned, DPed M5 range. Of course all wheel drive is faster out to the hole. Who cares. What happens 60 to 130 to me is more interesting personally, and more often where I run. I bet that all wheel drive wont be so helpful after 100.

Although, the RS7 above is still running stock exhaust and is hitting 129+mph trap speed which is higher than any F10 M5 with tune and catless exhaust I have seen. You would have to think they could pick up a couple mph with exhaust mods.

My reality is factual: most gas stations don't have 93 octane. YOu can purchase 100 octane form 76 gas stations; but that's about it. Read response #8

Well no one has really pushed the M5 yet per se, as far as I'm concerned. Terry Burger got his M5 a month ago, and ran 7.1 60 to 130, and low 11s. Granted that's probably a fuel mix, but still no one state side has really pushed this platform. And all this with a little piggy back and not a proper tune or tire.
This summer, you'll see 130s and 10.xx passes.
