Not very encouraging for me when I am putting in my order for the GT3. Found out that it's due to some bracket holding the oil cooler failing or something. Definitely a batch problem and not a design flaw. I am going ahead with the order anyway.

I saw one for the first time as I went on my way to pick up some grocery this morning. That machine is stunningly beautiful. Hopefully this incident will solved asap.

I see no such ad - in fact I just have eTrade, APMEX Metals and BMW CPO ads...

Appears that the ads there are supplied through Google Adsense (Ad Services...Google). They are based almost entirely on browsing history. May want to clear your cookies and cache!

Actually, 991 GT3s alone have ignited 2.5 times more than all reported Teslas. Did Porsche's stock tumble 35% with the news?

I think the negative Tesla hype is ridiculous.

Not good. Ferrari's fire problem was due to the type of adhesive they use to affix the heat shielding.

It will probably take some time before sales of the GT3 resume. Porsche will need to send techs to look at the cars and send parts to HQ. Find and diagnosis the problem, then roll out a recall on all GT3's on the ground.

I wonder what the cause of the GT3 fire issue will end up being.

This is interesting my cousin's Panamera caught fire in his garage 6 months ago, and burned the house down sucks! The fire department traced it back to the car's engine compartment. A Porsche rep came over, and said insurance would cover the incident. The cool thing was they wrote them a check for 100k for the incident, and the house is being rebuilt. Terrible to loose a house, but it was hassel free, and it has been rather quiet on the media side. I will still buythe brand, and shit happens it's a matter how you fix it!

Indicative of a oil leak related issue, since they mentioned oil smell and smoke before the fire.

It has been hinted that it may be faulty oil cooler bolts. All production and deliveries currently halted including those in showrooms not yet picked up.
