Hearing people compliment your car.

I was walking out of Best Buy heading towards my car which i usely have parked in the Boon Docks...When i heard two gentlemen getting out of there Crysler Crossfire say ( "Damn that Bmw is clean..I need to trade my car in for that")... Just made me feel good to know that this 7 year old car still turns heads.

Haha, yeah I people always seem surprised when I tell them my car is 7 years old. BMW makes has some timeless designs.

I love it! At a stop light I got a few "do you have any grey poupon" gesture to compliment my car.

I once was at the mall, and as I was walking to my car, there were about 3 girls walking by. The look over at my car, and made a nice comment, and I quote "omg that's a nice car. I want a bf that drives that one day."

It was a nice compliment, made me feel good.

Turns out those 3 girls were about the age (judging by looks) of 15-17.
Yeah, didn't feel so good after.

I totally agree. I was getting gas at Costco when the gas attendant comes up and asks me what year my car was. I tell him it was an 06. He goes and I quote, "You gotta be sh*tting me". I replied with a smile, "I sh*t you not".

I think that just about every person that sees it, never expects how old the car really is. Like this one couple that walks past my car. Guy tries to show off and says my car is a 2012

I love that feeling where people comment on your car. Makes you feel pretty good about how you maintain it and mod it. My girlfriend thinks I'm alittle crazy for keeping my car mint all the time. I literally won't drive my car till I wash it in my wash bay. But hey, got to keep a nice car clean right?

Some people stared at my E91 because they have no idea what it was. I told them it was a wagon, and they have a dumbfounded look, "Way-Gong...? Oh, you mean Volkswagen"

At Cars and Coffee, the car will get a lot of comments (both good and bad!!).

It's super easy to critique other people's cars.

Had a similar experience the other night. Was washing my 330i and an older gentlemen stopped by and asked what year it was. I said 2006 and he just looked at me with this dumbfounded expression. He couldn't believe my car looked that good for how old it was!
