BMW App not not pushing locations to car anymore?
I've tried to use the BMW app on my phone to push data to the car twice in the last week and it hasn't worked either time - the data never arrived.
Anyone else experiencing this? |

Go to google maps from a computer and try the send to car feature.
If that doesn't work, call BMW Assist to verify your email is correct and your account is in proper order. You want to make sure the email associated with your car is the one your using to send map coords to. If you just signed up, it takes around three days for everything to work. If all of the above fails, go to the dealer and ask them to diagnosis as they now have new tools to do so.

I was having a big problem with this when I first took delivery in January. My problem was that there was a software patch that needed to be downloaded (somewhere in one of the iDrive menus). The dealership was able to get it done in about 3 minutes, but it took quite a while to figure out that this was the actual problem.
I just sent a location to my car, through the app, and it went through without a problem.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but on 1/24/14 BMW released a new My BMW app specifically for the US market. You will have to delete the old app and download the new app and you should be ok.

Totally delete the previous app, download the US app, and re-register with your info.

Ok, stupid question: once i set the directions in Google Maps, how do I push them to the car?

Hm. Okay. That was what I thought I had earlier. My car's currently in an underground car park, so it won't receive anything right now anyway. I guess I need to check that when I get home tonight.

It looks like it's the same app, but there are critical differences with the new US specific one.
