Anyone have a configurable launch car allocation for the M4?

I am trying to find a launch car allocation for the M4 that is still configurable, not sure if that still exists but decided to give it a try.

Looking to order the car with the following options, so if someone happens to have a launch car order with the exact options, that will work too.

Austin Yellow
Full Black Leather
Executive Pkg
Lighting Pkg
M-DCT
Adaptive M Suspension
19" Black Wheels
Carbon Ceramic Brakes

As long as the dealer is in US48, it's good.

Every launch car or HEA car is still configurable since they are all in 111/112-Status. Since the M3/M4's are not going in to production for another couple of months, if you can find a dealer willing to sell you their HEA car, then you can modify the order to your specs. So to answer your question, yes they still exist. It's just a matter of finding a dealer willing to give up their HEA car to sell to you.

What does HEA stand for?

If it doesn't pan out, sounds like Suave is double booked and has one he's giving up:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=951176

As the guy said above, any launch car order should still be modifiable since they are all still 111. But, contrary to what he said about production being two months away, some cars are going into production next month, or so we've been told. So we are probably getting very close to the last date to modify these.

I tried to change our launch cars and the system numerous time and it won't let us. Shows/tells me that the cars in our situation are no longer modifiable.

Wow, that's a bummer then. I wonder how long it's been the case, and I wonder if that covers all of them.

Was there a cut-off date by which launch car orders had to be submitted into the system?

^^not sure I was going to take the 19" wheels and adaptive M suspension off my M4 launch car and when we went into the system to modify it (3weeks ago) it was locked out. So maybe its different for different regions however when the system locks you out that means the order is set and you can no longer modify it. we do have a march production date for both launch cars so that could play a role as well. I am not an expert in any means to how the whole process works, thats what we pay David and our staff for

Why would you want to remove those 2 options? I could understand the 19 in wheels but the Adaptive M Suspension seems like a great deal.

For me I was going to most likely modify the suspension (Kw) and also replace the rims. But its ok its on there so is what it is now, I am happy.

I looked at yours (475 / X3SW) and it's in 112. I am very shocked to see that they locked you out from making changes already...

Peter Pan also said their M4/M3 were no longer changeable. They're both in 112 as well. Maybe it's a west coast thing.

Congrats on the ride GOLFFRR, I'm sure it will be amazing with or without the KW. Can't wait to see it!

Now bummer for me that's it's almost impossible to find a March or April production car that I can still modify.

Thanks GOLFFRR. So it's either that the car is too close to production, or perhaps that they have disabled modifications for some (or all) launch cars earlier than what is typical for some reason.

It will be interesting to see if they OP is able to track down any that can still be changed.

It could be different in different regions. We usually get stuff a little earlier then other regions so maybe other regions are still able to modify I don't know.

Found out there is no employee leases available on the M3/M4 at launch so we will have to see how everything shakes out.

Out of curiosity, when were the HEA cars actually configurable?

I placed an order in November, fully spec'd, with the understanding that it would be one of the launch cars. Now I'm being told by my dealer that they cannot modify the launch car and I have to wait until the first customer allocation becomes available. Bummer.

It's too late to fix now, but I'm curious whether my dealer just blew it and missed the deadline for modifying the launch car, or whether they really had no say in what they are being given for launch.

Anyone who has been able to specify a launch car able to weigh in on this?
