F30, lowering con and pro

Hey guys I'm new to this forum, I have a 2013 f30 M sport, adaptive suspension,manual with 20's now.
Seems everyone here that owns a Bimmer has lowered their car.
If I do add dinan, h&r springs or else, what are the pro and con of lowering it?
Seen a few F30 lowered they look good and I'm like aight I might as well do it if I comes to my advantage.

looks great Marcky ...anymore pics from the side and different angles? I'd like to see how well the wheels fit on the car at that height.

Thanks.

Pros: Looks good. Stiffer ride.
Cons: Less ground clearance. Stiffer ride.

Honestly, the pros and cons are different depending on the set up you get and your tolerance for what is acceptable. Some people on this forum has said that Dinan or H&R springs work great with the Adaptive Suspension. I say, try it out because those 20s look weird at stock height.

Looks weird
Maybe it's the angle or something. So far I've got plenty of compliments from my BMW club and friends.

I believe that is SedanClan's car. He is on H&R sport springs with Bilstein struts.

Can I be like him if I only add h&r sprain with the adaptive suspension?

You can. Depends what springs. I have dinan springs for sale soon. Used for about 1k miles. PM me if you're interested.

I installed H&R Sport Springs on DHP Suspension. I'm very happy with the way the car looks, it's the perfect height in my opinion!

On Comfort mode the ride is a little stiffer, which makes it one step closer to Sport mode. I'm not sure that it got stiffer in Sport mode though. Overall I can safely say the average person would not tell the difference in all modes.

^M-Sport--Nice drop on the car. What are the figures for what the H&Rs are supposed to drop, front and rear?

Do you remember what percent tint you got?

H&R Sport Springs lowered my 335i exactly 1.1 inch for the front and 0.9 inch for the rear. This is compared to a Sport/M-Sport Line USA. H&R Super Sport Springs will lower it more.

H&R Sport Springs: Approximate lowering of 1.3"F/0.7"R for vehicles with sport suspension.. I did not take measurements on my car but the front obviously dropped more than the rear as claimed. This made a huge difference as the M-Sport front needed that drop for a more aggressive look. Now the front and rear both have the same fender gap.

I have 3M Color Stable 35% Tint.

You shouldn't have a problem once you get an alignment. I was able to do an alignment to factory specs.

Wasn't it when you lower it that the factory spec changes

On just a minimal drop with H&R springs, the only way the tires would be wearing fast is if there is a problem, not aligned or they don't keep their tires inflated properly. I am a lot lower since I am running coil overs and added -3 negative camber on the rear and my tires wear even side to side. With the H&R drop they should be able to get it pretty close to factory if not spot on.
