Short (less than one min) rough misfire and SES while driving
I'm hoping it's just an ignition coil acting up as I believe the car has had the updated HPFP. I was driving home last night and wasn't really into it (maybe 2k rpm) when all of the sudden the car stumbled and the SES light kicked on. It continued to shake with low power for about a half mile or so through town before it suddenly went away and the light went off.
When I got home I grabbed my android tablet and used the torque pro app with my BT OBD adapter to check for fault codes and it didn't find any. I'm not sure if the OBD is just not reading them or if no codes were actually stored since it was such a short fault period. Also, I put a JB4 Stage 3, VRSF downpipes, and BM DCI last weekend. It's been running fine and I've been easy with on it with the cold weather. Would the JB4 have anything to do with it not storing a code for misfire? Thanks! Yeah the JB4 will auto clear the code if you have the feature turned on...
