Prices in Switzerland
Finally there is a configurator in Switzerland. I'm a bit shocked about the prices here. A well-equipped M3 (without ceramic brakes) costs equivalent about 135'000 $. And here should be mentioned that there are no luxury taxes in Switzerland, and the taxes (VAT) are 8%, which is not much for European standards. So the extra cost goes primarily to BMW. Well, at least the prices are finally known...

I am going to Geneva next Monday to see the F80. (I had a baby 3 months ago and now the E92 hasn't enough door lol). BTW I know I will probably regret the S65 if I buy a F80.

@Hedoniste I don't know how the situation is now, but there was also a Euro Service Plus (I thinks that's how it's called) in Germany, you could buy this and get the same services as in Switzerland. I just compared the prices in the UK and Switzerland with my configuration, in the UK CHF 98'500 (112'000 $), in Switzerland CHF 118'500 (135'000 $). And when we consider that the included taxes (VAT) in the UK are much higher, the difference is actually even greater. |

Is BMW trying to make up the profits they are losing in US by selling at extremely high mark-ups in Europe?

I'm a bit confused to the carprices mentioned. If you go to BMW.ch it first tells you CHF 96'400 (inlcuding tax but without the EUR Discount). if you then go to the configurator the Price starts at CHF 99'830.- and it's telling that the Discount is already deducted. This is totally weird to me, but maybe this is an error while switiching on the configurator today. A friend has requested some Prices from a BMW dealership and they sent a Price of CHF 96'400.- (including tax without Discount) which I hope is the really correct one.
Anyways I was in Geneva yesterday to see both models and to decide about which model I will go for - in my case most likely the M4. I never liked the limo before but the new one is really looking great. But as I am still under 30 years and no children -> M3 If you like I can update you guys with the swiss Prices tomorrow as I have an appointment at the BMW dealership Just a Little comment to the Topic about UK/DE/CH differences. I remembered the last years we paid a massive amount more than we would have done in Germany and I really have to say that now the Prices in CHF dropped a lot - my current M3 had a total Price of CHF 138'000.- where the new one will be fully equiped around CHF 120'000.- |

you are right, i was at the dealership yesterday and the base Price for the M3 is CHF 96'400 and the M4 97'400. Btw I figured out that in this base Price in switzerland some stuff is already included which is not in Germany - for example the head up Display, DAB Tuner and stuff like that.
I will order one now but I am not sure about the Color |

they told me that if I order now the car should be here mid july - I will order today as I still can change the color for a few days.
Most likely I go for the Grey or mineralwhite. I really like the orange and the Gold but I'm just afraid that I will not like it anymore after a year or two |

I'll wait the 1st year production to get the small problems fixed and order after that. Still not sure if I should get the M3 or M4, and no idea about the color (I know only that I will not choose AY, maybe they'll complement the color pallette with some new colors). Can't wait to see the first delivered cars and real life pictures in all the different colors and combos.

@ Grock: Yeah that's one of the best place for our ///M!
@ Croatian test driver: Had same thought but with the 3 years warranty I am actually fine with first year prod. I ordered an AW on speed cloth DCT M3. Still not sure about the combo but it was my first idea... I love MW too but I don't know if it will fit the sedan as well as the M4 (which looks more classy to me).

Finally I changed my order... I choose MW/Black Merino instead of AW/cloth. So I choose the same combo I actually have on my E92.

Don't even look what these things cost in Finland. The taxes there are more than the car it's self. someone could say that's the reason the first thing I did after the jet lag was walking to a BMW dealer. ;D
