after 1000 miles...

Hi guys!

Picked up 2011 335i xdrive coupe CPO about 6 weeks ago and so far loving it!
Deep Sea Blue color with 17 inch wheels. Options-Premium, Cold weather, convenience package. It only had 14k miles on it and got a great deal that i couldnt pass up.. had 2004 330ci coupe back in 2004 but got rid of it before 50k miles cuz i had a few problems with that car but hope that won't be the case with this one..

Things I have done so far
-clear reflectors
-super-white side blinkers and cornering light
-hard-wired V1
-20% tint all around
-bought the moleskin to protect the tint but my car already had the felt on top and bottom so just cleaned the felt so it doesn't scratch the tint. Anyone wanna buy the moleskin from me?

Things I want in the future
-CSL type rims.. should I go 18's or 19's? I think 18s will be safer with all the potholes we've had this winter in NJ?
-m3 style rear lip spoiler.
-6000k xenon bulbs
-maybe HID fogs
-Paint correction in the spring - the car is in great shape but has a lot of swirl marks and some very minor scratches.. do you guys think its worth hundreds of $$$ for me to take it to the professional?

Thanks for your input!

here are some pictures

oh yea, dealer sticker and plate holder removed!

my wife's lease 2013 328i next to it.. dirty.. this is how it's gonna be! haha

Grats, man. Get that ///m3 spoiler on quick. It makes the car look badass imo. Pics in my album of mine. Just put it on a couple weeks ago. I'm saving up for wheels too. Should be my next big upgrade. And yes please fix the pics!

Don't fuck with the bulbs. I believe the stock are 5000k (or what ever pure white is). 6000k has a hint of blue but they are less bright.

At first I thought, after 1000 miles my Bimmer died on me. Glad it's not. Car looks nice.

It kinda reminds me of Interlagos (the best blue)

forget the fog HIDs, they are very problematic on the 2011+. I ended up just getting rid of it and just not use them. For the main HIDs, skip the 6000, they suck. I had them, horrible output and the stocks are brighter. (But I did not try the Philips 6000k, which are supposed to be brighter) Anyways, its all physics, high temps means lower lumens, cant get around that.

I got the Osram CBI 5000k, really happy, bright white (brighter than stock), sometimes a tint of blue when its hitting off a white reflector.

No worries - the TT N54 is far more reliable than that NA M54

If you go onto the wash and wax section there are tons of tips and DIY how to's to get those swirls out. I'm a hands on kinda guy so I like to show that it can be done at home versus a shop but sometimes those shops do killer work.
Sweet ride and nice mods get a garage for that thing.

My only regret is that I still rent and dont have a garage. Poor baby, exposed to the elements at all times Luckily its mostly just the sun around here in AZ but still.

This. Spend a few hundred bucks on the equipment you'll need to detail your car, then do it yourself for the rest of your life (for free).
