Attention all front platers, whats your method?

I've been looking at tow hook number plate mounts so the front can have a smooth look. Does anyone use these? I've noticed a lot of american ones with brackets that cater for their license plates, but no UK ones, does anyone know where to get them? if so which modifications have been made to the mount.

Pics will be great if your running a smooth front-end

I mounted mine with an RHO Plate bracket. Took 10 minutes to install and it mounts right into the tow hook. Ill attach a picture.

^ Looks good but also looks like it's not quite straight?

Also do they do a version for UK size plates as we have long ones not square ...

I'm not a big fan of the tow hook plates as it messes up the symmetry of the front end.
I have just stuck mine in the usual place with velcro.

Im working on this right now, I got my bracket (bolt and fixings) from the US, but did not get the metal plate as they did not do one for a short uk plate. Im getting a local metal shop to make that up. Will get pics up once all done, in the next week. I will probably stick on the plate with velcro or double sided tape once I have the bracket fitted. PM me if you want any more info/details.

Best method I believe is an L bracket that attaches to the underside of the top of the lower grill, and just unbolt for shows etc.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Jat, expect a PM from me very soon buddy sounds like youve got the right idea.

Digitalize, Ive seen those L brackets but I wanna try the tow hook mount first before I drill into the bottom section of the bumper.

So I dropped for a two hook plate holder after fitting the M3 style bumper to the touring. I couldn't bring myself to stick on the plate with tape or anything, and loved the plateless look for shows and when I want to be a rebel lol.

I go the bolt hardware from US Millworks, and then made up a design for a plate holder for my local metal shop to produce from aluminium. Got plates made up and got them on.

See what you think:

Good job! looks really well executed! I just think it looks odd off to the side...but i understand the reasoning. I hate my plate on at the shows
