Throwing codes - could use some advice

2008 335i
113k miles

OFT Stage 1 Tune.

Car was displaying some part throttle roughness, but under WOT was running rather well.

Now, out of the blue car has nothing left to give... slower than stock - as if no boost. But, no CEL.

Car does store multiple instances of 2AAF (QTY 5 in past week) and 29E0 (QTY 2 in past week).

I'm not sure where to turn....

you did google the codes right? use Cobb to pull the codes and clear if need be.

when did the car last have plugs and coils swapped?

I would suggest replacing coils and plugs.

yes, i have searched.... would not be asking for input if i had found definitive answers.

P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1)
P29E0 - something about mixture control.

what makes you suggest plugs and coils?

I ran into those codes as well so I started by changing the coils and plugs.

If you have cobb. reset the pids to default and grab a log and put on datazap.me. It is most likely fuel related. it could be either the lp fuel system or like you asked something in the high pressure loop. Grab a log after clearing the codes and we can take a look.

Threw these again:

P2AAF
P2A2D
P29E0

Will gather another log with more fuel parameters. The log above was with default parameters and I don't think will tell much of a story.

I had the same issues before winter, cylinder 2 misfire on cold start replaced all 6 plugs and 2 coils. Have been fine ever since.

Back on stock tune (AP uninstalled), and now throwing these codes:

Codes pulled with Mini AP temporarily

P0171
P0174

P29E0
P29E1

P2AAF
P2A2D

P2F9E (I believe this was stored when my oil level dropped below acceptable levels).

I think based on the combination of 2AAF and 2A2D either my LPFP or LPF sensor have had enough... The LPF sensor was replaced a few years ago by the previous owner, though.

Were you able to resolve this? I recently got P0171 and P0171P. I only get these codes if I were to turn on my car and drive right away. If I let it warm up then it works just fine. My car drives fine with this code too. Weird...

I installed new VANOS solenoids last week and the car has been fine since. Only time will tell, but so far it remediated all of the issues I was having.

Thought the VANOS solenoids fixed my problems. I was wrong.

Car continues to generate multiple 2AAF and 29E0 codes. Had been running relatively well. Started getting some part throttle roughness, and now all of a sudden car has nothing to give. Feels slower than stock. LTFT are often in mid 20%s.

I'm at a loss - not really sure where I should start throwing money... Low pressure pump? Take it to BMW in hopes it is the HPFP and if not get stuck eating $135hr diagnostic?

Ugh...

LPFP looks OK with INPA. Hovers around 5000 at idle.
