not happy with GP thunder

I was wondering, how come even though I've already installed the GP thunder 8500k bulbs for my angel eyes, they seem to turn back to yellow when my xenons are on?

I mean, theyre fine and i love them when theyre just on as DRLs, but at night, its kinda yellow.. any explanation?

thanks, and believe me, i tried searching already, but sorry in advance if this is a repost

that seems to be a problem with all the angel eye bulbs available right now. no solution so far (unless you get like a 2500k bulb).

This is because when the xenons are on, the angel eye bulbs aren't being run at full power like they are during the day, i.e. when the xenons are off. Being a halogen bulb, when its run at low power the filament gives off a more orange-yellowish light. This is true with pretty much any filament-based light source. You can see this very obviously if you have a dimmer switch at home. The dimmer the bulb gets, the more yellow the light.

No problems with my PIAA angel eyes, but that's an e90 and their LED.

yeah just installed mine GP 8500, it looks nice without the headlight on. I hope they last longer than 6months because these cheap bulbs tend to last shorter than OEM and gets dimmer as time goes on
