Hi folks
Has anybody been able to activate Siri on their iDevice through the voice control button on the steering wheel. A long press I believe. If so what's your spec? I have the base, non-navigation, iDrive with EBT (6NS). No joy for me so far. I know the button works as I have the BMW voice control.

Cheers guys.
It's good to know it works. Especially @jusdorange with a base spec iDrive like my own. I guess it's time to play with some settings... I'm presently connected by white USB, this disables BT Audio. However, I still get texts in the iDrive. I wonder if it's related?... I'll play tomorrow.

Works fine for me with Prof Nav and EBT - phone has Bluetooth on and a long press of the button brings up eyes-free every time

Works fine on my March 2013 F31 with Pro Nav and EBT .... but only after a recent software update by the dealer and a coding tweak. Previously it didn't work. It's annoying that even after the software update it is still necessary to do a coding change, but it's only a 5 minute job.

Hey guys. How exactly do you access Siri?
If I hold down the steering wheel button I get the BMW lady explaining how to use voice control... If I hold down 'home' on my iPhone I get access to Siri through my Bluetooth. However, the iDrive displays a phone call to my own number. Is this usual? PS my car is a January 14 build.

I am finding it quite annoying. When I have my phone connected to pro Nav and then want to use voice commands for the car system not Siri, when you press the vc button it goes to Siri and not the pro Nav commands!

A short press of VC should be the car, and only a long press of VC should be Siri.
