Black 19'' vs. alum 19' pic
i made a make shift ghetto pic, due to me not being great with photoshop for people to be able to see the difference of the wheel. i placed it on a AW vehicle due to me having this color on order, sorry for the "ghetto pic" and using a vendor's photo *not sure if breaking any forum rules*

Here is another animated comparison
I had the ferric grey ones on my order originally but the black shows off the machined bit off so much better so I switched. |

IMO, most pictures do not translate how the black wheels look like in like in real life. They are much darker looking. It seems that flash exposure makes the black chrome portion look much brighter than it is. These pictures taken without flash at the Calgary auto show portray better how they look IRL.

Thanks for the pics. No flash, good exposure = came from good camera
As I was contemplating black vs silver wheels, I've started to think that if I go black, I want a gloss black, or at the very least, a semi-gloss or satin. These pics with the 2-tone black chrome actually look quite nice to me. I had also thought about 'gunmetal' or 'titanium' - a more grey-ish finish. The OEM black 2-tone seems to have both. Funny, because I generally dislike 2-tone. |

Black for me. Is the non black wheel really ferric grey, is this the same colour as the 18inch OEM on M135i and M235i, looks different in most pics I've seen?

The grey one looks imo more "Premium" than the almost full black one. Especially the gloss in the black & in the center is not 100% my taste. I'll go with Ferric grey on MW and hope to catch a picture of this combination soon.

I was going for the silver wheels. But after seeing both in person, I think I will switch back to the dark wheels. Here are a few pictures I took of the wheels from the Vancouver auto show last week.

I haven't really decided yet on mine... ordered the black ones, but all the YMB pics have the silver ones. I guess BMW decided that this is the color fitting better to the blue?!
So probably I should swap them out in my order... have to be sure by end of April. Why is color always the hardest part even though it shouldn't?

I saw both wheels in real life this week and i changed my mind to the black ones. The "gloss" is IRL alot less, must look good on a MW car.
