Coilover Assistance Required: BMW 328i F30 - EDC ?
Hi Everyone,
Im in the process of getting options for some coilovers for my new BMW 328i M Sport and need some assistance from some BMW experts. I have a really simple question and im hoping someone can assist: * How do I determine if my car has EDC? it does have those special modes: 1 - Comfort 2 - Sport 3 - +Sport Is that what it is ^^ or is it something more? thanks in advance ! |

If you have EDC you have the package by the name DHP. It was a $1,000 option on the car. Look on your window sticker or look up your VIN and you will be able to see all the options on the car. It is not common for a dealer to order it on the car unless it was specially ordered. It can happen but not common. Window sticker will tell you though for sure.

If you opted for the dynamic handling package, you will need the EDC delete. If you did not, you can get just the coilovers.
You will retain the special modes after the coilover install although all it does is tighten up the chassis depending on the mode. It doesn't affect the suspension. If you want to adjust your ride comfort, rebound, etc, make sure you get a coilover set that has those adjustments built into the assembly. Good luck!
